Karen Yang, B.F.A. Indiana State University, is a graphic designer and illustrator who works between digital and traditional processes. Aside from her graphic design work, she utilizes micron pens and mixed media to create intricate illustrations. By using micron pens, she creates elaborate and intertwining organic lines that are symbolic of life’s interconnected yet fleeting nature. These interweaving lines create the basis of Yang’s illustrations that are then integrated with various contents to amplify transiency. Her practice has been supported by Indiana State University’s Summer Term Art Research Scholarship (STARS) to complete Entanglement, a series of seven large-scale illustrations.

into the unknown
A fictional brand called "Into the Unknown" This was a passion project from a graphic design class where we had to make up a company. I also had to create 3 physical products from it, as well as branding.
Creating merch for people that love cryptids and want to help people express their obsession for the unknown.
